Who kissed my neck?

Hi all you lovely and dear fans, and all the others who have stumbled upon these pages... This is probably the right time to thank everyone who has been to our summer gigs and also, actually all the great festivals to which we have been invited to play at this year. The summer was again superb, it was wonderful to roam all over Finland with no care of tomorrow and to play at fantastic parties for the happy festival-goers. One can't help but to be happy too... (and also sometimes a bit tired :))

Of all the summer happenings I want to highlight one, which to me at least was especially significant, the Kuopio RockCock festival. We had the honour of being the finishing act for the entire festival, which in itself is heck of a great thing. But it was not just that, also everything at the stage worked like a charm and the audience were so great and energetic, that I'll have enough energy to live smiling through the entire dark winter.

From Kuopio we went to the depths of the Petrax studio again. This time we had only two songs to record. That's two new songs. These creations will be published on a collection album to be published in autumn, which will include three unreleased songs and a bunch of old singles. We enjoyed the time at the studio again, with nice and relaxed sessions. These were not even made worse by the fact that this time we decided to act as the producers too. We had two guest musicions: the charming vibraphonist Panu and the tractor-starter Petri... Thanks to both equally.

One of the new songs is actually old, but still unreleased. The fans who have been with us for longer, certainly will know the song. If I remember right, we've last played this song at a gig in 2004, after which we swore that the song will never be heard again. But here we are, promises broken and Valokeilojen Vampyyri is the next single! Once again one notices that one should never say never, since anything can happen...

Yesterday we were shooting the video for Vampyyri. The day stretched on like bubble gum and it was raining cats and dogs, but still we had fun. Nostalgia fever took over us and this video is in fact our homage to the early days Indica, not forgetting a sparkling of humour of course. In addition to hippie rock spirited Indicans the video features the adventures of a red-and-white kleinbus and a couple of other guests. Voice Tv also came to film a making of, so that'll have more details. :)

This week there's still mixing and other such small details, but after that all Indicans will pack their suitcases and go to have their summer holiday, to relax and to plan new schemes for the autumn... Enjoy the last sunshiny days of summer and hey, we'll see again in the autumn!!!

(p.s. you probably have figured out the answer to the title, it's of course the Vampire in the Light Beams... (Valokeilojen Vampyyri))
